Good Questions

November 10, 2009

Good questions guide any writer to story or essay full of interest and detail; they open a window that draws a reader to  look out that window and enter a world created by words.

As you read, write, and observe things around you, take note of the questions that come to your mind. Try keeping a small notebook with you to add questions that demand or seek answers. You will be amazed at what you unlock with your questions!

Examples of questions that were generated in class about early explorers to the Americas will be added as a reply to this post.

Feel free to respond with your own questions that demand answers, even if those questions do not seem possible to answer. Remember, we are looking for questions that beg for more detail or that uncover a new story!

Happy Questioning!
